CEO, Mike Tuffy
Optimas International is led by Chief Executive Officer, Mike Tuffy.
Mike brings four decades of experience in industrial distribution, supply chain and international business leadership. Joining Optimas International at just 16 years old, starting on the warehouse floor, Mike gained hands-on experience, giving him an in-depth understanding of the operational foundations of the business.
Over the four decades that have followed, Mike progressed through a series of senior leadership roles, spanning supply chain, procurement, commercial leadership and international business development across the UK, Europe and the United States. His career has encompassed business growth, operational performance and the development of long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers across international markets.
He was appointed CEO of Optimas International in 2022. Having progressed through the organisation from its operational frontline to its most senior leadership role, Mike brings a distinctive perspective to the business. He combines a detailed understanding of day-to-day industrial distribution with extensive experience of the strategic, commercial and organisational challenges involved in operating across international markets.
CFO, Hugh McGrath
Hugh McGrath leads the finance organisation at Optimas International, bringing more than two decades of senior financial leadership experience across complex transformations, ownership transitions and periods of significant growth.
Alongside his leadership of the finance function, Hugh is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and risk management. He has a strong track record of improving profitability and cash flow, strengthening financial resilience and supporting long-term value creation.
Having worked extensively across the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA, Hugh brings an international perspective and a strong understanding of diverse markets, business environments and regulatory landscapes.
Hugh is committed to enabling sustainable growth through disciplined financial stewardship and close collaboration with operational, technology and commercial teams, as well as with the board.
CIO, Brian Long
Brian Long leads Optimas International’s technology strategy, ensuring the systems, infrastructure and digital capabilities required to support the organisation’s growth ambitions are in place.
He brings extensive experience in technology leadership, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions and global operations. Throughout his career, Brian has held executive and board-level roles spanning technology, supply chain and operations across international markets and complex organisational environments. His experience includes ERP integration, cybersecurity, technical infrastructure, operational improvement and the development of scalable technology and business processes.
Having supported organisations through periods of significant growth and transformation, Brian brings a broad understanding of how technology, people and operational processes work together to strengthen organisational capability and drive sustainable growth.
