Gloucester, England – 10 July 2025 – Optimas International has announced the launch of its new European Headquarters in Hambach, France.

The global industrial distributor and supply chain specialist has transferred its operations from its previous site in Sarreguemines to a newly developed distribution centre in Hambach. The move represents a major investment in the company’s European operations and is designed to improve logistics resilience, strengthen supply continuity and increase operational performance across the region.

The new site includes a 6,000sq m warehouse with capacity for approximately 9,500 pallets, alongside 1,500sq m of contemporary office accommodation. More than 70 employees are now based at the facility, covering procurement, engineering, quality assurance, sales, operations and supply chain management. The location also houses a specialist team dedicated to supporting the tunnel infrastructure sector.

Since 2021, Optimas International has experienced substantial expansion throughout Europe, now serving more than 500 customer sites in 30 countries. The company currently manages in excess of 3,000 components sourced from around 400 suppliers, while continuing to support over 70 tunnel infrastructure projects worldwide.

The Hambach facility holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications and supports manufacturers and tier suppliers operating across sectors including automotive, agriculture, heavy commercial vehicles, semiconductor equipment and infrastructure.

The official opening also marked a significant milestone for the company as it celebrated ten years since its formation in 2015. Local representatives and invited guests attended the event, taking part in guided tours of the new premises and joining employees to commemorate the occasion.

Mike Tuffy, Chief Executive Officer of Optimas International, said: “The opening of our new facility in Hambach is an important achievement for the business. Our European operations have expanded significantly in recent years, and this investment places us in a stronger position to support customers while creating further opportunities for long-term growth across the region.”

David Kessler added: “It is a pleasure to officially open this advanced new facility alongside such a dedicated and experienced team. We remain focused on operational excellence and continued regional development, and this new site reflects that commitment.”

Relocating operations from Sarreguemines to Hambach required detailed planning and coordination. Martyn Johnson commented: “The transition was completed in less than six weeks without affecting customer service or operational continuity. It demonstrates the professionalism of our teams and the strength of our operational capabilities.”
