Bearings

Precision bearings for reliable, efficient machine performance.

Product Description

Optimas International supplies precision bearings for demanding industrial applications, combining established bearing technologies with application-led specification and global sourcing.

From standard ball bearings to stainless steel, ceramic and specialist polymer solutions, we help manufacturers select and source bearings around load, speed, operating environment, precision and service-life requirements.

Application

Product Application

Bearing performance has a direct impact on how efficiently and reliably an assembly operates. The right combination of bearing type, material, precision, load capacity and sealing can help reduce friction, manage heat and extend component life.

Optimas International supplies ball, roller and specialist bearings for applications including electric motors, conveyors, gearboxes, automotive wheel hubs and industrial machinery. Our engineering teams can support bearing selection based on the specific operating conditions, helping determine the appropriate load rating, precision class, sealing arrangement and material.

From standard production bearings to specialist designs, we help customers select components that provide the required combination of load capacity, efficiency, durability and service life.

Materials and Quality

Materials, Finishes and Quality Matched to the Application

Bearing materials and protective features need to reflect the operating environment as well as the mechanical demands of the application. Chrome steel 52100 provides a proven solution for many general industrial applications, while stainless steel 440C can provide greater corrosion resistance. Ceramic Si₃N₄ bearings offer advantages in applications requiring electrical insulation, high-speed performance or reduced friction, while polymer materials such as PTFE and nylon can suit more specialised requirements.

Sealing and shielding options can be selected to control contamination, retain lubricant and protect internal components, while surface treatments can provide additional corrosion protection where required.

Optimas International controls bearing quality from specification through to supply, with load ratings, tolerances, materials and sealing arrangements aligned to the application requirements. Bearings can be supplied to relevant standards including ISO 492, ISO 281 and DIN 625, with automotive-grade supply supported by IATF 16949 certification where applicable.

This approach helps ensure the bearing is not simply compliant with a dimensional specification, but appropriately matched to the loads, speeds, environment and service conditions in which it will operate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ball, roller and specialist bearings, from standard production parts through to designs specified for a particular application. Typical uses include electric motors, conveyors, gearboxes, automotive wheel hubs and industrial machinery.

By working from the operating conditions rather than from a part number. Load, speed, operating environment, precision class and expected service life together decide the bearing type, the material and the sealing arrangement — and our engineering teams can support that selection rather than leaving it to a catalogue lookup.

A radial load acts at right angles to the shaft; an axial, or thrust, load acts along it. Most bearings are better at one than the other, and many assemblies carry both at once — which is why the load rating a bearing is chosen against has to reflect the direction of the load as well as its size.

Where corrosion resistance matters more than outright load capacity. Stainless steel 440C is the usual choice for wet, washdown or chemically exposed environments, against chrome steel 52100 for general industrial applications where the environment is controlled.

Applications that need electrical insulation, high-speed performance or reduced friction. Ceramic Si₃N₄ is harder and lighter than steel and does not conduct, which is what makes it useful in electric motors and high-speed spindles in particular.

Sealing and shielding arrangements can be selected to control contamination, retain lubricant and protect the internal components. Which one is right depends on how dirty the environment is and how often the assembly is serviced, and surface treatments can add corrosion protection on top where it is needed.

Bearings can be supplied to ISO 492 for tolerances, ISO 281 for dynamic load ratings and DIN 625 for dimensions, with automotive-grade supply supported by IATF 16949 certification where it applies.

Yes. High-cycle duty is where load rating, precision class, lubrication and sealing stop being independent choices, and our engineering teams can review the application and recommend a combination specified against the service life you need rather than against a nominal rating.

Yes. Our strategic sourcing team works with a global supply base, so a bearing that is not a catalogue part is a sourcing exercise rather than a dead end — and the same quality control applies to it as to a standard line.
