Bolts

High-tensile and stainless-steel bolts for secure, reliable mechanical and structural connections.

Product Description

Optimas International supplies a broad range of bolts for structural and industrial applications, with grades, materials, thread forms and finishes selected around the requirements of the joint.

From general-purpose carbon steel to high-tensile and stainless-steel grades, we support applications where load capacity, environmental resistance, dimensional consistency and long-term joint performance are critical. Bolts are available in metric and imperial configurations, with standard and specialist options sourced through our global supplier network.

Application

Product Application

Bolt performance depends on the relationship between the fastener, joint design and operating environment. Grade, material, thread form, preload, surface finish and corrosion protection all influence the performance and service life of the connection.

Optimas International supplies bolts for applications including structural steelwork, automotive chassis and engine assembly, machinery, equipment and general industrial assemblies. Our engineering teams can support specification and selection based on load requirements, environmental exposure, joint configuration and service conditions.

Our range includes standard hexagon head and flange bolts alongside high-tensile grades and specialist materials, providing options for applications where strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue performance or other specific requirements need to be addressed.

Materials and Quality

Materials, Finishes and Quality Matched to the Application

Bolt material and finish need to reflect both the mechanical demands of the joint and the environment in which it will operate. Carbon and alloy steel grades from 4.6 through to 12.9 provide a broad range of mechanical performance, while stainless steel options can provide increased corrosion resistance for suitable applications.

We also supply brass, titanium and other specialist materials where application requirements call for alternatives to standard steel fasteners. Surface treatments and coatings can provide additional protection where environmental exposure exceeds the capability of the base material or standard finish.

Optimas International manages bolt quality from specification through to supply, with grade, material, finish and dimensional requirements controlled against the agreed specification. Bolts can be supplied to relevant standards including ISO 898-1, DIN 931/933, ISO 4014/4017 and flange bolt standards such as ISO 4162, with metric and imperial thread forms available.

For automotive applications, IATF 16949-supported supply and PPAP documentation can be provided where required.

Frequently Asked Questions

We supply a broad range of bolts in carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel and specialist materials, including hexagon head, flange and other standard and application-specific configurations. Metric and imperial thread forms are available.

Carbon and alloy steel bolts are available across grades including 4.6 through to 12.9, with grade selection dependent on the mechanical requirements of the application. Stainless steel and specialist material options are also available.

Bolt selection depends on the load the joint needs to carry, the operating environment, and whether the connection needs to be removable for maintenance. Our engineering team can help match grade to application.

High-tensile bolts are manufactured to provide higher specified mechanical properties than lower-strength general-purpose grades. They are used where the joint requires greater tensile or proof-load performance, subject to the overall joint design.

Stainless steel can be appropriate where corrosion resistance is an important requirement, but the suitable grade depends on the environment, mechanical loads, temperature and compatibility with other materials in the assembly.

We can supply bolts with a range of surface treatments and coating systems selected around the required level of corrosion protection, operating environment and application requirements.

Depending on the bolt type, relevant standards can include ISO 898-1 for mechanical properties, DIN 931/933 and ISO 4014/4017 for hexagon head bolts, and ISO 4162 and DIN 6921 for flange bolts.
