Gasket material selection needs to reflect the sealed medium as well as temperature, pressure, compression and environmental exposure.
Our range of gaskets are available in a variety of materials. From NBR, which provides excellent resistance to oils, fuels and many hydraulic fluids, to EPDM, offering strong resistance to weathering, water and ageing, making it appropriate for water systems and outdoor applications where oil resistance is not the primary requirement.
PTFE provides excellent chemical resistance and a wide operating temperature range for applications involving aggressive process fluids. Graphite can provide high-temperature sealing performance, while metal composite gaskets combine a metallic core with facing materials to provide controlled compression and resilience in higher-pressure or higher-temperature applications.
Optimas International manages gasket quality from specification through to supply, with material, dimensions and functional requirements controlled against the agreed application requirements. Products can be supplied to relevant standards where applicable, including DIN EN 1514 for specified flange gasket dimensions and ISO 3601 for O-rings, with manufacturing quality supported by ISO 9001-certified processes.
This approach helps ensure the gasket is specified around the complete sealing environment, rather than selected solely by size or material.
